Ledger Brief (https://www.ledgerbrief.co) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
What data we collect
Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you updates about new tools and editorial content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Review submissions. When you submit a review, we collect your name, an optional title or company, your rating, and review text. Reviews are moderated before publication. Your name and review content are displayed publicly on the relevant listing page.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted in the EU. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. We see aggregate statistics only — page views, referral sources, and device types. No individual visitor can be identified.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies. Plausible Analytics does not set any cookies. If you use premium listing features powered by Stripe, essential session cookies may be used to manage your checkout and account session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies for analytics purposes.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services:
- Supabase — database hosting for listings, reviews, and directory data.
- Vercel — website hosting and deployment.
- Stripe — payment processing for premium listing subscriptions. Stripe handles all payment data directly; we never store your credit card information.
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookie-free, EU-hosted website analytics. No personal data is collected or stored.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have specific concerns.
Data retention
Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe, at which point they are promptly deleted from our mailing list. Reviews are kept indefinitely as part of the public directory record, but you may request removal at any time. Analytics data is retained per Plausible's own data retention policy.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email us at hello@ledgerbrief.co. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Ledger Brief after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
